Acro and aerial silks are challenging and thrilling to learn. Students must commit to building their strength and foundation skills before progressing to more impressive moves.
ACRO:
A combination of dance and acro, this class emphasizes strength, balance and flexibility to develop students’ physical abilities and spatial awareness. Headstands, handstands, cartwheels, rolls and walkovers are just some of the skills learned.
Aerial SILKS: Students explore movement in the air using fabric (“silks”) and rope, and learn how to climb and manoeuvre basic circus skills on these apparatuses.
Classes take place in studios with sprung floors and safety is always a priority. Introduce your child to the excitement of stretching, jumping and tumbling at Swansea School of Dance.
To participate, students must be enrolled in at least one other technique class: ballet, jazz, modern, tap or hip hop.
