Company is a class designed for serious dance students that provides multiple extra performance opportunities throughout the year. Students in Company learn and rehearse choreography that is taken out into our community for local events, and dance performances. These students also get the opportunity to participate in specialized dance workshops throughout the year. In order to participate in Company, the student must be taking two Ballet classes, one Jazz class, plus either one Tap class or Modern class per week. Placement in Company is at the discretion of the Artistic Director.

We are primarily a recreational studio with an optional Intensive Program, so competition is not our main focus. However, we do participate in two competitions per year, and this experience is reserved for our Company dancers.

If there is a comparable class at another time during the week, your child is welcome to come and do a make-up class. This scenario becomes challenging in the second half of the year when larger portions of the class are spent rehearsing for our year-end Recital. Refunds and credits are not issued for missed classes.

We finish each year with a big production at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre where family and friends have the chance to come and see what our dancers have worked on all year. This performance is for all students in level Pre-Primary and up. Pre-School dancers will have a separate performance here at our studio.

We provide specific viewing days when parents are invited into the classroom to watch what we are learning and working on. Aside from those specific days, we ask parents to remain outside the classroom.

It is important to consider dance a commitment for the whole year. As the children learn and perform a routine together for our year-end performance, if one child is missing it can negatively affect the group. We strive to provide the best possible experience for each child attending our classes.
